September 5, 2024Photo credit: Keith Cornett.of Corvette BloggerLast Saturday, the National Corvette Museum inducted the 2024 Corvette Hall of Fame class. Honorees included Oliver Gavin and Jan Magnussen in Racing, Richard Prince in the Enthusiast category, and Tadge Juechter in the GM category. Each inductee was introduced with a video and brought on stage to receive their award, except Jan, who was in Texas for a race. Corvettes representing their achievements were displayed, including a new 2025 Corvette ZR1. The event, held at the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center, featured many notable guests, and the museum did a fantastic job hosting. Congratulations to all the new inductees! This Z06 was originally ordered from Len Stoller Chevrolet-Cadillac in Owings Mills, MD, before being sent to Callaway’s shop in Old Lyme, CT, for its SC757 transformation. It came fully loaded from Bowling Green with features such as: 3LZ Premium Equipment Group: Memory package, Nappa leather seats, heated and ventilated seats, premium audio with surround, performance data recorder with NAV, and more. Some Random Thoughts |
Everyone has a photographic memory; some just don’t have film. If at first you don’t succeed, skydiving is not for you. If your car could travel at the speed of light, would your headlights work? |
Recent Testimonials Thought I would take a minute to compliment members of your staff at your Anaheim location. I purchased a 1965 Corvette roadster from you folks a while ago. Everyone I had contact with was excellent and contributed to a hassle-free buying experience. The members of your staff, however, went far beyond what I would consider normal customer relations. Before purchasing the Corvette, Troy Worrell and I spent at least an hour systematically going over every square inch of the body and interior searching for and identifying defects. The vehicle had been restored properly by an experienced craftsman and we were only able to find five relatively minor issues. Troy assured me that they would be corrected, so I bought the car and set a pick-up date. Before picking it up, however, Troy called and informed me that the main seal was leaking more than “normal” and it would be a couple of days extra days before I could get it. This is something you folks did not have to do, but a quality organization would do. You did the right thing rather than the easy thing. This act was appreciated. After getting the car home to San Diego, I discovered that the driver’s door would lock from the outside with the key but would not unlock with the key. I called Troy and we set an appointment with Gary (the on-site restorer) to correct the problem. Gary fixed the lock quickly but before I left, he discovered that the wind wing pivot on the driver’s door was missing which would keep me from using the wind wing. Troy was advised of this issue and advised that Corvette Mike’s would make the repair without any charge to me. The wind wing frame is not being reproduced so it was necessary to located a used C2 part to make the repair. Within a week, Troy called and we set a repair date. Unfortunately, the used part was apparently weak and it snapped during installation. Gary got right on locating another part, and actually found a replacement part within a week (trust me, these parts don’t grow on trees). Your staff went above and beyond to make me happy, and a happy customer is a returning customer.. Thoroughly professional outfit. Open and honest dealer with top quality inventory. 42 years in business. Timely LS7 valve guide fix! Knowledgeable and friendly, also a great place to walk around and see some amazing Vettes. |
