For more than 70 years, Corvette has proudly been known as “America’s Sports Car.” Now Chevrolet is leaning even further into that heritage with a special Corvette created to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States.

Called the Corvette America Anniversary Edition, this limited-production C8 was created for the Japanese market and will be offered in just 20 examples. Based on the 2026 Corvette Stingray 3LT Coupe, it features Arctic White paint, red and black full-length racing stripes, an Adrenaline Red and Black interior, special anniversary badging, unique floor mats, door sills, and a red LT2 engine cover.

Ironically, this America-themed Corvette is not being offered in America. These right-hand-drive Corvettes are built in Bowling Green, Kentucky, then exported to Japan, making it one of the more unusual special-edition Corvettes in recent memory.

Here at home, Chevrolet is also celebrating with the Stars & Steel Collection, limited to 250 Corvettes for North America and available across the Corvette lineup, from Stingray to ZR1X.

Whether overseas or here in the U.S., one thing remains clear: no car represents American performance quite like the Corvette.

A Rare Piece of Corvette History

1 of 199 – Factory Black Z06

Triple Diamond Award Winner

1963 Tuxedo Black Corvette Z06 Coupe

Few Corvettes carry the mystique, rarity, and competition heritage of the legendary 1963 Corvette Z06 Split-Window Coupe. Built during the first year of the Sting Ray, the Z06 was created under Zora Arkus-Duntov’s direction as a serious performance package for buyers who wanted a Corvette with true racing capability.

The Z06 Special Performance Equipment package transformed the new Split-Window Coupe into a nearly track-ready machine. It included heavy-duty suspension, a thicker front stabilizer bar, larger shocks, higher-rate springs, and upgraded power-assisted metallic brakes with finned drums, cooling fans, and “Elephant Ear” brake cooling scoops. When new, the Z06 package was an expensive and serious option, costing nearly half as much as the base Corvette coupe itself.

This Tuxedo Black over Black example is one of only 199 Corvettes built with the coveted RPO Z06 package. Power comes from the matching-numbers 327/360hp fuel-injected V8, paired with a 4-speed manual transmission and Positraction rear axle, the mandatory performance combination that made these cars legends both on the street and the track.

Adding to its significance, this Z06 was sold new at Paramount Chevrolet Co. in Downey, California, and received a comprehensive restoration by renowned Corvette specialist Shaun Goodwin. It is also equipped with power windows, full-size spinner wheel covers, and blackwall tires, giving it a clean and purposeful look.

The quality and correctness of this Corvette have been recognized with some of the most respected awards in the hobby, including Bloomington Gold Certification, NCRS Top Flight, MCACN Concours Gold, and Triple Diamond Certification. It also carries CCAS Trim Tag Affirmation and is accompanied by excellent documentation, including photos of the original dealer invoice, window sticker, NCRS Shipping Data Report, and judging sheets.

Rare, documented, beautifully restored, and finished in Tuxedo Black, this 1963 Corvette Z06 Split-Window Coupe represents one of the most important and collectible Corvettes of the C2 era.

I don’t need more storage. I need fewer things with sentimental value.

I’ve reached the age where getting up without making a sound deserves an award.
