Battling the Bad Apple and 1967 L88 For Sale

Battling the Bad Apple and 1967 L88 For Sale

July 5, 2018 0 By Laura
As Corvette enthusiasts, we are always fighting the reputation a very few bad Corvette owners bestow on us.

Well (without knowing the entire story) here is yet another video depicting a Corvette owner being less than a courteous steward in Tacoma, Washington.

Video footage captured a Corvette driver who refused to let a Dodge truck merge into his lane getting mad, rolling down his window to give the international sign of being upset. But the truck had a sign of his own, giving the Corvette driver a face full of smoke.

After having his Corvette filled with black diesel smoke, the Corvette driver calmed down and let the Dodge truck merge in.

1967 L88 with its
Original Engine

This 1967 Sunfire Yellow w/Black interior, L88 retians its original L88 engine, chassis, M22 transmission, power brakes, master cylinder, suspension and trim.

Two-time Bloomington Gold Award winner, most recently June of 2018 by Corvette Mike.

Originally purchased new by a Navy sailor still in his teens named Robert (Bob) Baker. After reading a review in Hot Rod Magazine about the just introduced L88, Bob knew he had to have one (wouldn’t we all?!). Knowing this Corvette would give him the edge he needed at the drag strip, Bob went down to S & K Chevrolet in CA. and drove off in his new L88 on June 5th, 1967.

This L88 has remained in top show-quality condition ever since restoration and is the only L88 Coupe in existence that still retains its original engine! In addition to the two Bloomington Gold Awards, documentation includes the Tank Sticker and a video of the previous owner discussing the cars history.
