Corvette Racing is still trying to get used to the new GTD spec’ed Corvette C8.R and will now have a “new challenge” in running as a single-car operation. The team has not run a single car IMSA race in more than 20 years.
The Pratt & Miller-run factory squad will enter a solo Corvette C8.R in Saturday’s Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, with their resources split this year between single-car efforts in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and FIA World Endurance Championship.
With Tommy Milner and Nick Tandy in the team’s WEC GTE-Pro entry this weekend, Nicky Catsburg will team up with reigning GTLM class champions Antonio Garcia and Jordan Taylor in the WeatherTech Championship season-long No. 3 entry in GTD Pro.
The team ran two GTD Pro cars in January’s season-opener at Daytona although is expected to remain a single-car team for the majority of the remaining WeatherTech Championship rounds this year.
Nonetheless, Sebring will mark the first time since the 2000 American Le Mans Series season that the team has run only one car in a race stateside.

Dennis W’s 1960
I am the second owner of this 1960 Vette, my dad had to co-sign for the loan back in June of 1967. Its been 54 years —wow. The color is cascade green, dual 4’s, 411 gears, 4 speed, I drove it every day for three years, now its just a summer sunshine ride! I have not had the hardtop on it for over thirty years, I enjoy the breeze, and going through the gears. I am still in touch with the original owner, he is almost 90…..wow….. He still wants the car back, he’s not driving anymore, I asked him “what the heck you going to do with it “? He said………. I’ll take the pool table out of the family room and park the Vette in its place…….. And have coffee with it every morning!
I get ask a lot………..is it for sale? I say no…………….
Tuxedo Black w/Fawn interior, 327/360hp, 4-Speed
Owner history all the way back to brand-new!
Top Flight award winner!
If you were looking for the “ultimate” in Corvette performance in ’62, all you needed to do was check RPO 582. This got you the fuel injected 327, which put out 360hp and the engine pad appears to be born with. The highest ever offered up to that point in a Corvette! Back that up with a 4-spd. manual transmission and a performance ratio rear end, and you too could be “King of the Street!
Green w/Saddle interior, L79 327/350hp, 4-Speed
This ’67 came out of the factory as a Goodwood Green L79 Convertible. But, when one of the previous owner’s decided that a complete restoration was in order, he also decided that the stock Green wouldn’t suffice. So, he went with an Emerald Green instead. The result is a striking color combo on a great driver! Options include a #’s matching 327/350hp small block mated up to a 4-speed manual transmission and a Positraction rear end, p/b, p/s, side exhaust and bolt on wheels wrapped in Whitewall radial tires. This is a Corvette that you can drive anywhere and enjoy. As well as take to Cars and Coffee!
