CHEVROLET CORVETTE GRAND SPORT WILL PACE THE 2019 INDIANAPOLIS 500

The 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500 is right around the corner (May 26th) and Corvette Grand Sport will once again be handling the pace car duties. This will mark the 16th time a Corvette has had the honor and 30th overall for Chevrolet of leading the 33-car field to the green flag for “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing.”

The Grand Sport pace car will be setup in Long Beach Red Metallic paint with dual silver stripes, eight-speed automatic, Magnetic Ride Control, Carbon Fiber Ground Effects Package and Brembo carbon ceramic brakes. With these options installed, the GS has 1.2 g cornering capabilities and should be more than up to the task of getting through the turns at a very respectable speed.
